The best converter for Forced induction
Just Like the title states ,It also needs to be a lock up converter, i have had 2 Yanks & now the 3600 is not Locking up anymore ,I know Percision industries make a decent one ,its just a little expensive to buy one & then find out its loose & needs to be pulled to have it tightend , there also around 750.00 to 1k ,i am also looking @ an Ptc converter ,any input on this from guys running an a4 i would appreciate it

There are 4 or 5 converters that come to mind.I chose a Vigilanti because of the 2 year warrenty and the free stall change. As far as cost it's just one part of the car were you have to bite the bullet because it's that important to the toal package.Don't try and be thrifty here or you will end up paying twice.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I was going to get yank py3400e myself. Know a few pretty big power guys running it.
What model yank do you have and how much power are you putting down?
turbo or super..how about a bit more info.
I also am running vig in my 96z but its only got like 325 engine.I was considering like a triple disc vig as another option to the yank.

I am running a Novi 2k sc on 10lbs of boost stock bottom end ,i had a yank 3200 & was going in a different route with the car nitrous /H & C car , & after debating on the sc ,which i had one on a mustang ,i decided to try it out on the c5 & it pulls nicely until i ran out of fuel with an Stock pump & an msd boost a pump Made 540rwhp @ 4k so after fixing the fuel problem ,i ditched the msd & Bought an KB Bap With a 255 ,fuel pump starvation no more. Now i have a Converter issue ,when i took the car back to the dyno my tuner couldnt get the converter to lock up ,i can run the car up to 95 mph & its like it goes into another gear ,in an a4 , so ya i have a converter issue ,I have had edge trying to sell me one of there converters but i really dont know alot about there converters, btw the converter in the car now is an ss3600 yank ,i will send it back to them & let them fix it ,i just would like to have one i can put back in it so i dont have to do twice the work Wiplash check your pm ,i am definatley intrested in your Yank converter

vig converters belong in the trash. Neal chance is the only converter i will run in anything.Had a mid west, yank, and vig.Yank would be my second option but nothing compares to a chance IMO.

Well, I've got an Edge 3000 "street edge" I'm getting ready to put in my truck along with the new 4l80e. Its a 5400# 4x4 truck with a forged 346 LS1 and 15lbs of boost, with one of my turbo kits.
We will see how it runs
We will see how it runs

[QUOTE=Gary98Z;10703316]Yank told me definitely do not lock up the convertor on the dyno. The Vig's and Circle D's have a multidisc option, so those can handle it.
In any event, I've been happy with the two Yanks I've had over the years.[/QUOTE ,Did u lock up the 2 yank converters when your car was tuned ?Also i am Really looking hard @ the PY 3400 yank
