Woot! Finally in the 9's
Well after trying to turn the boost up a little and having no luck, I changed the waste gate connection to " method 2 " via the eboost2. Well they were not lying about the minimum loost level will be greatly increased. I was actually able to build boost off the line, although a small amount. I think I'll make another post about that.
Got to the track and the first couple of runs were a fail trying to dial the EB2 back into operation. It seemed the controller liked running in the 17lb range. So I just rolled with that. Finally made a decent pass. And made some more adjustments. Runs that mattered were as follow:
Was able to pull off a 1.54 60', but hit overboost safety.
- 1.74 60'
6.4 1/8
9.96 1/4
143 mph
Made some more adjustments to steady the boost
- 1.70 60'
6.3 1/8
9.83 1/4
143 mph
I couldn't go home now. Had time for one more pass. Made some more adjustments to steady boost and bring it on faster.
- 1.66 60'
6.3 1/8
9.74 1/4
145 mph
Needless to say I was happy. If only I could of got that 1.54 60' when the controller was adjusted a little better. The controller is far from being set right. I still have a long way to go there, but it has renewed my hope. If you haven't noticed the faster time are made on the big end. Almost identical first halves.

The boost was spiking up to 18 psi and then dropping off. Pretty much going crazy. So I put some 112 in at the track, just for safety. I didn't have intensions to run higher boost, but the controller was turned almost off and was still netting higher boost than I was running. I finally got it to settle at 17 lb, but it was really slow to get there. More adjustment is needed. I'm going to replace the 10lb spring with a 7lb and see if I can get the boost back down, and hopefully easier to adjust.
I plan to install a transbrake soon, then we'll see what kind of 60's it will do.

Cool. Thats what I wanted to hear. With a 10lb spring I was seeing 18-19lb at first. Right now I have sp on like 5 and Gp set on 10 and I was still seeing 17lb. With the 7lb spring I think It will get more adjustable. Hell I don't want to run 20lb yet.

It is consistent that it is more then expected... We tried method 2 on my buddies car, with 18 psi spring combo, IIRC, and it was hitting 28 psi! Talk about a wild ride. We went back to method 1 and it settled back down to 18-20psi.

I'm glad I set the overboost lower when I first tried it. I think I hit 18-19lb the first time. That was with pump gas in it too. heah I know
Connected via method 1, I could only get 15.5lb or so and it would backfire like it was hitting overboost. It could be the placement of my wastegate. One side of the engine blows directly into it. I'm going to try a smaller spring. If it doesn't work out, I'll reconnect with method 1.

That guy with the silver supra has been down for a while. He has a built motor, 78mm turbo, and the nawz now, so the next time we meet the outcome could be different. There is a new guy around running about 800 or so, but I haven't ran him yet. I think I'll run them from a dig now on, to give me a little more advantage. haha

Thanks. I heard about your new mods. I think I'll need some more power before we go at it. I'm just hoping you have no traction so I can win. I think the only fun runs you'll find will be bikes. Your going to hurt some feelings and wreck some egos I think. haha

Very nice runs.....S91 on pump gas is still a lethal combo.
