Just hooked it up on a relay so that everytime the fuel pump is on the oil pump is on high no resistor. Just that simple and no sts harnes at all.

so just hook the relay up to the fuel pump harness and run the pump on high will it hurt anything?

Running the pump with no resistor is what a lot of sts users are doing. Usually the resistor gets really hot and can melt wires nearby or worse catch things on fire.

If you have a high volume ported oil pump you want to run the pump on high due to increased oil volume to the turbo or you can use an oil resrictor before the turbo or even both.

I have been running mine with no resistor since I got the kit and has worked fine for me.

Yes, I had mine eliminated. Did it like you mentioned above.

BTW, I DID run an idiot light from the rear scavenge pump to the dash. I did this so that the light (which I placed above the radio) would illuminate when the pump was receiving voltage. Figured if the pump was getting voltage....it was probably running. Figured this would be cheap insurance unless you want to run power to the buzzer w/out using the STS harness.

STS uses a switch valve (solenoid) that is referenced from a vacuum line. When the vacuum line senses 1PSI of boost (or more), it sends a signal to close the solenoid. This blocks off the PCV inlet to the intake and diverts the crank gasses into the engine bay.

Much better systems out there. Do a search for PCV and you'll see lots of designs. If I believe correctly, Frost has a good one that works.
