Default APS install Ron Davis Burkhart Bumper Support

I started installing the Aps kit on my ride..........I installed the intercooler and the Burkhart bumper support first..............i am taking the car to our local speed shop to install the rest.............It should be easier with a lift

I wanted to post up some pics for those interested in the fitment with the Ron Davis and the Burkhart bumper support

the aps kit with the ron davis isn't easy, but it can be done

the Burkhart bumper support really opens up a lot of room; however I did have a little trouble getting the bumper for fit correctly with it on the car........IMO small price to pay for the benifits.............I am going to cut out the aps air tunnel to allow air to enter directly through the bumper.......I will cut out the tag cover and put a honeycomb screen like sever others have done on here.

I have never seen this piece used before. What is the purpose or benefit?

It is our bumper support. we have them for the LS1 Camaro and TA. Also the LT1 Camaro.

It allows you to remove all of the factory junk in the nose and free up a lot of room. It supports the nose and does not allow it to cave at speed. We make them with the correct CM tubing sizes to pass NHRA tech as a fuel cell enclosure. We also mount intercoolers, radiators. and fuel cells in them.

Its a very cool piece. Is there any permanent mods required to make it fit or is it just bolt on?

While installing my intercooler last weekend I was just wondering if someone ever thought about fabbing one of these up. This is awesome! Wish I would have known before messing with the bumper, cutting, measuring, etc

I will definately be ordering one. any discounts? deals going on?

I really like it..........it gives me a lot more room up front plus it saves a decent amount of weight off the nose

In comparison A arms would have cost 600 bucks and saved about 7 pounds.

The bumper support costs 250 and saves at least 20 pounds................and the bumper is solid as a rock

Also, I have to think it would help out with the cooling, especially with the APS kit.

By cutting out a section of the APS air tunnel and cutting the tag cover I will get air directly to the intercooler and radiator.....................I think that is the one big problem with the APS f-body kit airflow

So... I could use this and just mount a large meth tank up front then instead?! hmm... Now only if I could get a custom, no-motor-plates-required k-member to go along with that!

Motor plates are your friend. They make a lot of things easier.

Be that as it may, but I still drive my car 5-10k miles each year, so ride comfort is damn near paramount. I can't imagine motor plates absorbing very many engine vibrations...

I like it becasue I have no more bumper now and want at least some strength in the front. This looks like it's stronger than stock.

How do we order?

Do you have a pic of the hole looking straight at it? It looks like you might be able to eliminate the entire APS air duct.
