Tune to pass smog???

Tune to pass smog??? ok so ive posed the question before in previous threads if any one has an APS system that is passing the sniffer in California. Many have said no it wouldent. so heres my question. What if you detuned it and made tune specifically for passing smog. say maybe leaning it out or whatever go to the tune shop put that tune in and run it (since you wouldent be exceeding 2500 RPM's there shouldent be a detonation issue then once it passed smog you just put the old tune back in... Any experts got any ideas on this? has it been done?
