Rear Gear Ratios for use with a supercharger?
A quick question for you guys running a supercharger. What rear gear ratio are you running? I know the turbo guys Like running higher gears like 3.08 and 3.23's . But I don't think the same principals apply to the supercharged cars do they. Let me know what gear you guys are running I am setting up my rear and going to order me a gear Asap. Its a 72 Nova with a T56...Running a LS motor 6.0. head and cam car with a F1A.

How fast do you think it will be?
I ran 3.50's in my Formula when I had a YSi Vortech setup, but some calcs showed that 3.73's would have been better. I went 9.40@144mph @ 3450 raceweight/ 18 psi/ 680rwhp/ shifting at 7000.

I'm running a 3.40 gear, track only car. Comes down to what RPM you want to cross the lights at and there are a number of good calculators out there to find what gear you need. 3.73-4.10's seem like a proper gear though for street/strip.
