I spent some time out with HP tuners the other night. I am not sure but i think the intake air temp is getting to high and the car is pulling timing. This could be why i am seeing very low trap times. Only 11.6 @ 114 boost only and only 117 @ 117 on a 35 shot. I am seeing 165 plus IAT's in the 1/4 with out the bottle on only 9 pounds and thats on a cool NC night. The car should be running 15 deree's of timing but as the air temp goes up its droping down to 6 to 8 degree.

Thats high wht size inter cooler do you run? I see crusing on a 100+ degree day around 88 degrees and at idle around 110. On meth 78 degrees wot on the high way in 100+ degree and at night when its 85 degrees out my Iats on meth is in the 60 degree at wot. I also run a 50/50 mix and use the biggest nozzle.

Im not sure on the meth it ramps up as boost goes up so its all where in the power band you spray it. I have a single nozzle and my intake is custom so thats why I used the biggest one. To cbr. I did the cat fish mod with the gills lol to expose the intercoller and it made a huge diffrance. Look in my photo albums. i would not completely gut the front nose tho.

Yeah thats what i am thinking. Right now the intercooler is getting no flow and i fill like its just heat soaking. I notice for about every 8F she pulls .5 timing. This could be why i am traping so low and the car stops pulling at the top of 2nd gear.

This is a good topic, but useless unless more information is included.
1. ambient air temp.
2. iat
3. with meth and mix % and system set up and nozzle placement
4. BOOST.....and turbo used. more boost = more heat.
5. intercooler, size, air flow..
6. speed the veh is moving when iat is measured
and humidity if you can.
The most recent numbers I can remember are.
turbo van:
1. ambient = 107
2. iat = 107
3. no meth
4. boost = 10 psi with turbonetics 72mm
5. intercooler = cummins 12 valve ram intercooler (in the area of double the core size of a 11x3x24 typical f body intercooler)
6. speed doesnt seem to matter , it stays right around ambient weather its idling or at 10psi at 60 mph..
7. humidity is less then 15%
Zombiess car has logged 65 degree iat in 94 degree heat at hiway speeds. using 11x3x24 intercooler, st80 at around 15 psi using a smc kit.
Meth will be on the turbo van in a couple days....and some track testing but the ambient is probably going to be well over 100.

I am going to try opening it up a bit today by removing the plastic. I also might try lowering the intercooler down right in front of the opening to try and get some more air too her.
