Default Need help with cam selection on 408/LS3

I originally started building my iron 408/LS3 with no plans of boosting it, BUT I have decided to go with a front mount turbo setup and I am stuck trying to find the right cam for this setup. I have looked all over the forums and cannot find any solid info on cams for my setup. Please help!!!

Whoops. Not awake yet. I'm guessing you are using an iron 408 with ls3 heads. Still need to know if it is truck manifolds or headers and the size of the turbo. With those heads I would go with some forward split though unless they have had some major work on the exhaust side unless the turbo is smaller than an 88.

sorry for the slow response guys, the heads are stock except for some minor short radius and bowl cleaning with Patriot Golds and an LS3 intake. C/R is about 10.5/1 ( I know it is high) and I will be running a truck manifold on drivers side and some kind of manifold on pass. side to keep A/C. Prob run a 76-78mm in a MP or Borg S400 with relatively low boost for now ( 7-10psi). M6 and a DD

I have a Comp XER 224/224 581/581 112lsa that I have seen used on a few cathedral head setups but I was not sure if the LS3 style heads require a different cam when boosting. Any information would be great

my friend has a EPP cam i dont like it at all it sounds cool (its a D-1 car) but i dont like the way the power comes in its very peaky. but to add to that i think his tune is to blame because it seems alot of guys like it on here

when it comes to cams i would just call a good bulid and have them spec you one for your setup
