STS style pump only 500-hrs?

This is not the same pump that we use at STS. Also it looks like the hours of operation are refering to a pump that is making pressure not scavenging which would greatly reduce the life of the pump. I personaly have over 20,000 miles on the pump I am using and have had ZERO problems with it.

I had the STS pump and it overheated, during the summer hottest night of the year I could hear the pump change tone and had a burnt electrical smell to it. Took it apart and everything looked good except the armature was flaking the epoxy.

I have 15k miles (30mph x 500hr is 15k) on my STSpumpZ06 with no problems, but, some cold start extra noise that I think I cured with a oil change (damn that extra fuel). Anyway, I am being proactive and getting on this before I get stuck.

Furthermore, I found another similar pump spec with a max working temp. of 140deg:
A hot day in AZ and this one is done at a stop light!

This one has a seemingly perfect envelope size.
A guy with a STS truck used the Reverso pump!

Mine started being noisy about summer time, but it still works and is quieter now.
Good thing I checked my pressure switch setup last night as the last guys who worked on it didn't tighten up the screws, typical kind of stuff with guys working on my car.
I'm looking to make a run down south this summer and I need this pump right.
With new brackets this thing should fit where the STS unit is, but tight! If not I can put it in the back like Extreme does, and suggested, or maybe up in the right nose under the headlight as that would be closer and easier to splice in.

Either a TILTON/MOCAL differential gear pump or a Turbowerx if you ever need a replacement. The other brands don't have a cooling mechanism which would lead to early pump failure.
My original STS style was ruined after water got trapped under the plastic electrical connector. Most of these are not protected very well against the elements either.

Wow, If someone else worked on your oil pump check it over:
My well paid installers buried the buzzer so I could barely hear it.
And again, my oil pressure switch connections were left loose by the last well paid guy who worked on it.
Anyway I look at it these guys are stupid!
Also it now make sense why STS offers two pumps now. And the Mocal pump is not bi-directional probably something to do with the cooling (Fan blades?).

More them likely there mounting them in series, so as its not such a big load on one pump to pull that oil all the way from the rear of the car ,back up to the front. The longer the run,,,, the harder the electric pump has to work
