370ci, rear mount - suggestions?
Well I decided I want more power, was thinking of going front mounted turbo with the build.. But I feel like the easiest thing to do is to use the stuff I already have.
My current setup is in my Sig.
Currently I have a T67 .81a/r STS turbo system on a stock block
I am probably going with a 370ci lq9 from Speed Inc (will try to pick up some ported heads as well)
Going to be picking up a turbo cam spec'd for the build too..
What size turbo would feed this the best? - was thinking a T78 would be sufficient..
Will the charge piping be large enough and the IC core of 3" be big enough?
Will 60 lbs injectors be enough with the use of Meth injection? - i'd assume no, and id also assume i'd need twin pumps, or some other pump (please recommend)
Hope this isn't too much to ask - just don't want to start a build and realize im *** backwards lol
Thanks

For a rear mount for big power, most are going with the TC series units. The TC76 and TC78 are where its at. Big power and same packaging as the 67 almost other then the inlet.

You could always run new 2 1/2" charge piping from the turbo to the intercooler. If I remember correct STS comes with 2 1/4". Then jump it up to 3" as soon as you can when you get close to the intercooler. On the outlet of the intercooler go 3" into the engine bay then jump it up to 4". 80# should be good for about 900flywheel hp if you use the RC Engineering injector calculator where you don't go above 80% on the duty cycle. There are also 103# high impedance injectors also. http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/sh...ewCat&catId=73
The TC78 with a .96 would be a good match. Just my opinion though. Finally, yeah you will definitely need more fuel. A do it yourself twin pump with a return would work great.
Good Luck.

Any recommendation on Fuel Rails? Fuel line sizes? just grab a FAST rail to match the intake manifold I have?
Assumingly I'll require the boost referenced regulator - correct?
Would a BOSCH 044 Inline pump and a walbro 255 in tank do it?? Still have the hotwire and boost-a-pump nonsense.
Damn I suck at this lol - new things make me ask a million questions..

I would run the lonnies dual intake pumps. I did the DIY dual intanks and ran a 8AN feed and used the stock feed as a return. I am running Speed inc rails on mine and I am about to the limits of my 60lb injectors at 670 rwhp with METH.
And as I said before in your FS thread. When you wanna sell that cam you have now let me know.

I am looking at the Lonnie's kit now on their website. Looks like they have a full setup for 1600 .. includes everything necessary! (even the FPR)
"Double Pumper Kit & Complete Custom Fuel System
Camaro/Firebird '99up LS1 Double Pumper - Twin High Output Fuel Pump Kit, Wiring Harness & Hobbs Switch - Fully Assembled & Tested - Requires your sending unit for modification" - with 80lbs injectors!

Wait for Zombie to get in here or send him a PM. He is the man you want to talk to about a rear mount set-up and he runs 370 cube iron block as well IIRC

Yes, you'll want a boost referenced regulator. also - check out our rails. they're similar to the FAST but are less expensive.
