Default STS Cat Delete or Replacement?

I recently got to see some cat dust come out of tail pipe after a dyno pull. I was wondering if anyone could reccomend any replacement weld in cats that are up to the task? Also if I finish gutting the cats I heard that it can be raspy? Any one have any sound clips or personal expirence?

Thanks

Running no cats or mufflers, dumped a foot off my front mount. Sounds good actually.

having long tubes and an OFF ROAD y pipe is DIFFERENT than having EMPTY CATS.

That car sounded good. So hollow cats have a way different noise than straight pipe?

I didn't think that you were suppose to run cats with a STS system.

You can run cats. STS claims failures are very rare. I did a search and only found a hand full of posts where people were talking about it happening to them. The cat pieces hit the blades on the turbo and destroy it.

I'm running a 6.0l with a front mt turbo, no cats. I constantly get compliments on the sound of the car.

So straight pipe might sound better than gutted cat?

Also does anyone know if the metal core cats would hold up?

IMO it would sound louder/better without a cat, plus, it would be cheaper.

Well I gutted the cats this weekend and I like it. Not too much louder in the car and I have no drone. Definitely louder outside of the car. I don't really here the raspyness that people complain about. Turbo is spooling quicker and I don't really notice the exhaust smell when driving the car. I wish I would have done this sooner. Thanks for everyone's help.
