Default 6 bolt ls2

I'm building a motor looking at 1,500+ HP using a f2, iv seen where people have made a stock ls2 block into a 6 head bolt block by adding some sort of plate, does anyone have more info on this?

I'm running an LS7 block and F2 right now and am lifting warhawk heads w/studs at 1100rwhp. You need a 6 bolt block minimum.

lsx, warhawk, or dart are a few. I'm going to send my longblock back to VA Speed to have them sleeve, girdle, oring, and 6 bolt the block to handle more power.

ERL makes one of the best LS2 6 bolt blocks you can buy. Take a look www.erlperformance.com What you had mentioned above about the plate sounds like the superdeck II system ERL makes. Alot of street guys use the superdeck I. David Childress (MIghtyMouse) uses an ERL 6 bolt LS2 in his 8 second trans am. I just ordered a similar setup today!

First of all you have a badass car! How do you know when heads are lifting or pushing water?

I noticed it when I saw vapor coming off the pass side head on the dyno. Once you see white fog (that smells like antifreeze) coming out the tailpipe you know your gasket is gone.

Not cheap, but cheaper than buying a new 6bolt block then getting everything machined again... Cheapest bet is going to be the LSX but I've heard it cost more than normal to get everything machined correctly...
