Default Help needed with timing

Help needed. Just got my vortech supercharger and inner cooler installed today on my 96 SS. I have the delteq ignition with the MSD DIS-4 Plus Digital with the programmable timing controller for boost. Was wondering what would be a good timing curve for it. Should I take 1 degree of timing out for each pound of boost, its runnuing 6-8 psi. Thanks Bucket

Depends on.....conpression, fuel, water meth, weight, gear ratio......

1 degree per psi on a stock lt1 tune probably wouldnt be nearly enough. With water ,meth, and cold iats and 94 octane....maybe. Not in my air, with 91, not even close. Probably more like 2 degrees per psi.

I would think 2 per psi would be safe.

I agree, definetally depends on the rest of your setup! Post more specifics on your setup and we will be able to help you out better!

14-15* seems to be a good safe average! But you need to post your setup so we can give you a good starting point!

Its got the stock 10.5 to 1 compression, Jethot LT headers with off road y-pipe , cat and rear o2 delete, 6 speed with 3.42 gears, weight is i think 4238lbs. The car has been dyno tuned by MADZ28-the rwhp is 311.6@5800RPM to the rear and the tq is 325.0@2600RPM
