Made a vortech airlid
So I finally got my vortech sc'er airlid finished after spending a lot of time on failed molds, I finally got it to my likings. I made it out of a couple layers of fiberglass and it is really strong. It is not perfect just because I didnt want to take all the extra time to sand it to the smoothness of a babys but, although it should do the job. My car will be finally getting its SD tune in a couple days to see what it puts down since the YSI sc'er upgrade. Oh and yes I know the sc'er pully does not have the right washer on there, no need to tell me

Oh and I would like to see the gains this cover made after i get all tun'ed but i think its going to be hard for me to do because the original vortech airlid cant fit anymore because of where my methanol nozzles are tapped, so if i take those nozzles off and try to compare nubmers with the stock vortech airlid, it will prolly throw everything off is my guess

Glad his YSI bracket worked out for you, it was fun watching him take his car apart. If that lid doesnt work out then move over the fuse boxes and run a 3" tube into the fenderwell and put a filter on it.

The ysi bracket worked but it was not plug and play. I had to largen many of the holes and do a lot of grinding on it to get the ysi to sit properly. There are 3 bolts holding the bracket to the head, for the life of me i could not get the 4th one to work because then the sc'er could not sit properly, but it seems like the 3 hold it up just fine. Trent was very helpful, i must of bugged him a dozen times to ask him install questions which he helped me figure out solutions to. Are there any pics of anyone with the 3" intake tube into the fenderwell?

Sounds like those were T-Trim Brackets. RMCR's YSI brackets move the power steering pump lower and counter sink the bolts to the head for more supercharger clearance.
Interesting to see how that airlid flows.
