IMO Sure you can through a 15k longblock in there that will make the same "power" but for how long?
i think shawn virgine speed could do it for half the price to a customer.

x2 Besides, I didn't say "the exact setup for half the cost". I said a setup with the same power and durability. Half the parts on that setup can be substituted for "less expensive" parts with little to no effect on total power output. Nelson uses all the high end/high price bells and whistles to get the high end price tags...fine for someone who has more $ than they know what to do with.

I think VA speed and Nelson are in two diffrent markets. Im totaly sure VA could do what nelson is doing if they wanted to. Nelson is trying to sell more set packages rather than the more custom stuff shops like VA do.

Thats my opinion, please correct me if im worng....

I'm sorry, but you guys saying VA speed could do for cheaper are crazy...

Nelson has his own turbos that are mirrored so all your exhaust is equal length... Look up his videos on youtube, his stuff can run the numbers. **** the F-bomb on low low boost went bottom 10's.

Sorry, but this motor is

I'll just add this, since i was brought up.I really doub't i could shave alot off the price of that engine-def some do to the fact my stuff is built for shear performance and not bling.but the bling doesn't cost that much extra.

BTW-if Jay leno call me-i would build a motor for him too

There's more to the mirrored turbos than just "looks"...

I do... You should pick up the August 10 issue of Hot Rod... Pretty good read about the new turbo tech out there.

EDIT: I think you're thinking of Mirrored as in "Shiny"...

I know exactly what mirrored means.

I believe as much of what i read in Hot Rod as what i do reading The Globe.

The mirror image stuff is for packaging and looks, no performance advantage.

Shawn, you don't really want to build an engine for Leno!

63 splitwindow vette has a 400 cube SBC with a buttload of power
and runs 6s IIRC

Strike that it was a 430 moran motor

Lol at bottom 10's on low boost. My budget turbo build run 9.9's on lowest boost setting and can be duplicated for under $12k with labor, motor and turbo stuff. Ls2formulas car went 8.9's on the gates for under $35k and is running solid 7.9's so far.

Nelsons stuff is straight up show stuff that you see at SEMA but getting down the track takes alot more than a big engine dyno number pull that is over in 2-3 seconds.

And plus one on most magazines being a joke. The guys writing these articles are journalists not "pros". They regurgitate what ever they are told as if it were gospel without any verification.

I sure as hell wont let you school me on what a good looking vehicle looks like because that thing in your sig is Hidious...

Hot Rod magazine is awesome, anyone who disagrees is a retard.

Mirror turbos are more than just looks. It also helps with packaging restraints and ease of tuning. As well as cylinder bank to bank variations... SUCK IT

Like any of you are more qualified to talk about his **** than I am(Shawn @ VA excluded)... Tards
