First startup question!!
I have finished my turbo build, made a lot of stuff myself, including the kit itself, my catc cans, etc. I went to start the car up for the first time, to make sure I had no leaks or anything before I take it out to my tuner. First time, it started fine, ran, actually idled fairly well, second start was really choppy, but didnt die, now I go to start it, and all it does is fire and kinda putz out, is this normal? I know the tune is way off, I have a tune for nitrous in the car, with 42lb injectors, have since gone with twin walbros and 80lb injectors. Am I going crazy because it wont idle or could this just be my tune and im overthinking it? Any advice or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dennis

Yeah, mine did the EXACT same thing, I had a H/C 346 tune in the car when I started my 370ci low compression turbo setup. Also it was tuned for 30# injectors, and I had new 60#.
But like I said, mine did the same thing, started up, actually idled smooth, and ran perfect, but I just ran it long enough for it to get oil pressure and all that jazz. Then second time, I have to keep my foot on the pedal to keep it idling.
I went in HpTuners, and changed my engine size, and injector size, put key in, turn key, and Varoooom. Presto, on my way to the tuner to get dis bitch dyno tuned.

Do you have a wideband? If so cut fp down to low 30 psi and try again and keep an eye on the gauge, shoot for 12.5-15 afr to let it ru. And check for leaks, new plugs will be needed for this and prob before the tune.

you could put your 42 lb injectors back in to just allow you to run it and check for leaks etc and drive out of boost.
but with the 80s and no change in tune your overfueling big time, will have stuffed that set of plugs, and risk washing bores and wrecking o2s and cats if fitted.

Thanks for all the help guys...when it ran the first time the fuel psi was at 25-30, thats when it ran great, just kinda gave up after that....gonna grab a set of plugs and head out to the tuner next week. Anyone around chicago have hptuners unlocked that can help me out?
