Which gauges?
I know this has been done to death but Im asking again. Last year I ran with just a WB and boost gauge. This year Im thinking of adding fuel pressure and atleast 1 more, if not 2. Ive been thinking oil pressure is important but I already have one on the dash. Im not sure how important oil temp would be. And it would be a pain in the *** to put a probe in the cast iron manifold for an EGT.
Ideas?

Im kind of OCD about symmetry, lol. I have my boost gauge in the middle of my vents and my A/F down below where the lighter was. Id like to put 3 gauges in the vents, so its symmetrical
Silly I know.
After thinking about it, it shouldnt be too hard to tap the cast iron manifold for an EGT. I think Ill tap it at #7 or 8 that way I have the hottest cylinder(s) probed.

I don't think anyone should have their afr gauge buried behind the shifter. Once you pull that last gear, that should be what you are watching going down the track. Typically speaking, if anything else goes wrong, it will show in your afr.
Oil pressure is on the cluster. Trans temp is very important for an auto. Oil temp is a good one and so is water temp as the stock gauge is very inaccurate or not a gauge at all if you have a 99+ (basically a dummy light with 4 positions.

Water temp (since the stocker is a dummy light), boost/vacuum, and fuel pressure. If your tune is right and your fuel pressure is good, then I would feel safe assuming my AFR is good... and, I much prefer fuel pressure to AFR because it's better for troubleshooting fuel system issues, and it's not as obnoxious-looking.

Here's what I'm replacing my boost gauge with...

That or maybe nitrous pressure, but that doesn't really apply to your build.
