Default can a turbo work well with a stick shift for drag racing?

As the title asks, can a turbo work well with a stick shift for drag racing?
I know a bit about turbos from reading and research, I think they are absolutely THE way to make power. I have not pursued using one on my camaro because I love drag racing it with the stick shift.
Question: how much boost can be made on the line w/ a 2step with no load on the engine?
My next car build is a 65 Biscayne w/ an LQ4, th350, and a turbo. whats the correct size turbo for a 6.0, in order to build boost quick with little to NO lag? 76mm single?

single 76 should work fine, although with a th350 a little bigger wouldnt be a bad thing. as for the stick shift, turbos can be made to work perfect because they dont slam the tires at every gear change. your def going to want to do research and talk to a few people who really know but response is going to be key. so choose size and AR wisely and it will blow your mind lol

keep in mind Kelly Bise' car, Ol Betz, was a t56 (dunno if it still is, theyve made huge changes to tun the TX mile) and hes putting down over 2k whp. search around under the member name Worm Boy and look for a black 4th gen fbody running the 1/4 at houston raceway park in broad daylight, and Gold Rust avatar pic is the same cars setup.

I could build 6psi on the line with the 2-step and pulling timing. 76mm, 370 and t56

If your really into your drag raceing a turbo car def works better with an auto,
plenty of guys dropped around a second over the quarter after switching from manual to auto.

If your a good peddler and can power shift or run a small shot of nitrous to spool turbo after shifts you will get close to an auto but no where neer as consistant.

I run 11.1s @ 130mph with my M6,
I'm sure it would be deep into the tens with a good auto and converter.

Ceramic ball bearings and a huge bov to keep the turbo from surging. Like others have said turbos love an auto.

i built about 5#'s at 5500 rpms on the two step went 10.52 @ 131.8 with roughly 560 rwhp.

gonne leave a little more aggressive next time out with more launch rpm and boost and try and get the 60's in the 1.45 range.

turbos can definitely work with manuals, easier with an auto though

A good stickshift would work perfect with turbo, but the auto is cheaper and simpler to drive.

Putting big power in front of the T56 normally works about the same as putting big power in front of the 4L60E, it works good until you hook it up.....
