Default Stock ls2 block reliability??

I have a 02 z28 with a aps kit at 7.5psi stock motor w/224/224/112 cam. I have been looking at the erl shortblocks (itching to turn up the boost) I figure after built top too bottom $12k!! I only have 26k mi on the car motor is in great shape aps kit has only been on for about 1k. Hate to use it as a core as its worth good money! Anyways a friend has a ls2 shortblock and I was thinking about doing rods, pistons, arp, and good heads. Wondering how much power the stock ls2 block/sleaves will hold? Any info is apreciated thanks!! If any one local is interested in my motor let me know, still up and running for testdrive. Thanks again for any info!!

With a nicely built bottom end it will hold more than you think. Fireball went 7.99 on a stock sleeved ls2. 1500+hp
