That's what I'm hoping lol.

going to probably go with a stiffer valve spring than the ls6 ones, but I'll run those for now on low boost until the spring when I do the drivetrain upgrades.

my friend bill is crazy man, dude does work.

well not much to report, dealing with storm and flood damage at home, but bill finished welding up the cage and the v-bands on the charge pipe. next weekend is pretty much shot, but aiming to get most of the car wired up next saturday.
Blew the motor in my quad last weekend, so need to get that fixed too. the fun never ends

I think it's 31x14x4. It's the one listed in the forced inductions area. Just a good ol ebay fmic, but should do work for my setup.
I might hold off on finishing the car until after the winter to do the drivetrain too and maybe a fuel cell before I put it back on the road. But all depends on time and money.
I pretty much have all the hard parts I need, still need a boost controller, pushrods (waiting to check length once we re-assemble the motor), a few relays and wiring, run new brake lines, and I think that's really it. Gutting pretty much everything out of the car that isn't needed to make it run, might have to get a different seat than the one I picked up as seating position and fitment might be a little issue. But all in good time I guess. Wasn't really planning on having it finished before the winter anyway, having a ton of hp/tq at your toes but a stock rear and trans sucks lol

well small update
spent about 3 months fixing my house, but now back to the car.

cage is just about done, just need to have Bill weld in the door bars, but that's not getting done until the car is finished with wiring and dash is back in.
Trying to get funds back up to get a few little parts I still need, but 99% of what's needed I already have. PCm is now in the car behind the dash, all fuse blocks are mounted there too along with the bcm, wiring to front of car is being ran through the frame, Want to have a clean engine bay, I hate wires lol.
Will update some more in a week or two.

thanks, my friend Bill does some ridiculous work. I can't thank him enough for the time he's put into this car over the last few months while I've been stuck home fixing crap at the house.
Just getting down to the final few things to mock up. Hopefully get it up and running during the winter at least... then work on tuning and everything else once the snow's gone.
Was really hoping to have it out this year, but **** happens I guess.

as of now @8.3-8.4 might mill the heads a bit though to raise it up after reading your post in the other thread.
motor isn't built yet, just being used to mock everything up. Probably yank it out in 2-3 weeks to clean it up, gap the rings and swap in the arp hardware and cam.
new ported ls6 oil pump and billet timing chain going in too. Other than that running a stock rotating assembly.

Seen a few posts about it, read an article or 2. Really doesn't matter to me, it was recommended so I'll try it. As I said, junk yard motors are cheap, so if one thing doesn't work and it goes boom, I buy another and try something else. Car really isn't going to see street much if any, mostly track use

If I was building the same combo as yours, I'd run 9-10:1. I was running a T6 turbo but my car didn't really get going until above 5 grand.

I'm running a t4 1.10 a/r housing for better spool, going to sacrafice top end power, but it should get itself moving better.
Still debating on which heads to run as I have 2 sets (5.3's and 6.0's)
so if the 317's turn out to be a dog, swap hardware to the 5.3 heads and go from there.
I'm still debating on what fuel I"ll be running, so that will ultimately determine what I'll use.
Might use E85 since they finally got that around my way, in which case higher cr is fine.

well not much of an update, but now getting to where parts start going in permanantly
engine bay sanded and painted, motor out and torn down (need some more parts, but block going to machine shop next week.) rod bearings looked a little iffy, so ordering those, need to pull the crank pulley this weekend (forgot my puller lol) and see if the mains are ok or not.
other than that, all parts are ready to go, just going to order rod bearings and a new rear main seal.
some pics

and of course the powered by Bill shot lol.
