I finally made it to the track over the weekend and got about 6 passes on the new setup. Started the day at the 5-6 psi of boost that i have been driving around on the street with. Then after some playing around decided to turn it up a bit to ~9psi. Here is the last and fastest slip of the day, I am 3513 and a buddy in his 02 corba spraying a 150 shot is in the other lane.
Noticed a couple issues:
The first couple runs, the car was only hitting about half boost in second gear only. It would start at full in 1st, drop to half in second and immediately jump back to full in 3rd. But the issue went away so not sure what to think.
Also the car was shifting into 4th by the end of the track, but it is most likely due to being on shorter street tires and spinning lots (ie higher mph through the traps).
Oh and this was on pure street tires not even a drag radial

Haha not sure if that was being sarcastic or if my pic is too blurry to read but a 1.85 60' is a world away from where I shoul be. But can't wait to get a tire under it so I can leave off the transbrake and 2-step.

Thats a good 60ft for reg tires! What gear are you running? Also what waste gate is that? Nice car! Wanted to put a dump thru the fender of my 1981TA, it has a hole there, think that would be cool. I got a GT45 ebay turbo, your seems to perform great!

A little more progress. Iv got the wastegate outlet and the 3" to go out the back of the car tied into the downpipe. Busted out the duct tape again since the 3" portion was a bit tricky.
Also got the catch can mounted, the breather lines run to the valve covers, and a coat of 2000 degree black sprayed on for now.
Thanks for looking

The duct tape mold is a little trick i came up with to simplify making tricky cuts and notches in tubing. Just have to cut the duct tape tube to fit then slide it back on the real tube and transfer the cut with a sharpie. Perfect cut everytime!

Looking good! Couple questions...what brand header wrap did you use? Also, I have the same turbo going on a 5.3 and where the v-band clamp goes on the exhaust outlet side of the turbo, the flange that I have has a lip on it that will not fit inside the turbo. Was yours the same way if so what did you do?

Sorry guys, iv been a bit lazy on updating this with times but iv been back to the track several times since my last post. I threw a set of slicks on so i could make good use of the transbrake. Here is the time slip from my best run yet, which was launching at 3-3500 on the transbrake, building about 5psi on the line, with the boost set to 10psi. My buddy also got the pass on video with his phone so ill throw up the link to that.

I made the wires using 25ft of msd wire, 90 degree high temp plug boots and 45 degree lt1 distributor boots for the coil side. They cost a total of 60 bucks which is less then ls1 wires
