finally had a sold piece made from the rear rocker panel to the turbo. now its bolted up against the car and tucks up nice and neat off the ground. with it snowing and being general pretty crappy out, I haven't been driving it much. but man, does the piping look some much better and off the ground. I probably wont be able to sneak the car up to a tuner by me until after the winter. would love to see the numbers this thing can put down now. im gonna guess easily its sitting on 400 to the wheels with the rich tune it has going on right now. if not more at 10psi. at that point its a guessing game, but the car hauls now. hopfully after the newyears, I might convince the wife to let me cam it

Are you having success running the check valve after the scavenger pump?

actually I hadn't had a chance to install it yet but since I've been seeing 10psi of boost, I haven't had it come out the back end. I think the lack of boost also doesn't help with oil in the pipes.

I have been following your build from day one, and i have started my build. i have been trying to gather as many ideas so i can just complete the project and drive the car without having to go back and redo stuff. it tends to get expensive. lol anyway good luck with the car, hopefully you'll find the boosting issues. dont forget to check the easy stuff, vac lines, leaking welds/gaskets, couplers.

I've never seen anyone run a rear mount through the wheel well like that. But as far as the sleeper look you've mentioned a couple times, I think that goes out the windows with that FMIC

I also understand the appeal of a rear mount. Keeping AC, keeping front sway bar, and not have to buy a new k-member makes it very attractive for a street car.

lol yeah, but that's only if you catch it form the front lol

My thing is that I already have a UMI RR K-member that kinda isnt front mount turbo unfriendly. no place for pipes really. id have to do all that work over again just for a different style K member switching out the K is not "hard" compared to say swapping a stall lol but its still pretty labor intensive, especially without a lift.
What I like about the rear mount is that most, if not all of the work on a rear mount can easily be done on the ground without really much agitation like headers can be lol

the sleeper mode really goes out the window once 3000 RPM is hit and spool announces itself, which is easily done with a 3200 stall lol

How much power did you end up putting down with your setup?

well, it was coming anyway lol
well the stock 4l60e has begun its count down. 3rd and forth are gone. time for a trans update.
tires spun out on my last weekend on wet roads and when I stopped at a stop light and tried to go again.... car was reving to about 3500 to go anywhere on its own. had to manually shift from 1st and once I tried to go to 3rd, it just revs and doesn't really go anywhere. I unfortunately had to get home and could watch the trans temps go from 100 to 220 in less then 5 minutes. trans fluid has black bits on the dip stick and you can smell the burnt trans fluid.

so I'm looking into a more built trans with a 3600 stall now. might as well upgrade everything. looking at a few vendors with a stall/trans combo right now. any suggestions from any fellow turbo automatics?

well after a really long winter (painful Wisconsin cold winter) I have a built 4l65e coming to replace the tired 4l60e. got the raybestos clutches, beast shell, and a trans go shift put in it on top of the updated bits and pieces. gonna get a 3600 stall with it too to have a little more fun with it.
now to find time to actually pull the damn thing and put the new one in it.

now to find time to install it so I can play with the turbo some more

Lots of pages to go through, so just gonna ask.. What kinda numbers have you made so far? We have a twin rear mount WS6 that made 520 on 8 pounds of boost, forged LS1, 231/228 cam and 243's. I just swapped a set of PRC 6.0 heads onto it and jumping on E85!

Nice, I'm hoping for close to that with my current setup. I still have to get a fine tune since I got to wisconson. And since my trans went out I've been holding out until I
Swap out the Trans which I've finally started lol
Got the car jacked up and trans draining tonight.

Well then,
It's been awhile lol
Finally got my converter sent out and repaired and restalled. Apparently the trans ate the torque converts turbine when it went and I destroyed that as well lol. Had to add that to the rest all but worked out well. Got my stall upped to 3800 and internals all freshened up and even got a new paint job lol not important ed but I got new beer cozy's and that is definitly a win in my book lol
