1K whp Build - 10 bolt rear FTW
This thing should be serious, but it's questionable how long the 10 bolt will last once we get in the 20-25psi boost range. I've been 6.5 @ 111mph with this rear in the 1/8 (previous setup in sig) and wondering what the record is with an F-body with stock suspension 10 bolt etc, anybody have a clue? It's at the point where theres paint cracks down the rear 1/4's next to the character lines so i don't plan on too much action this fall without sub-frame connectors at the very minimum.
These 2 are from before the build

This thread is made out of pure tiger blood.
What gear are you running? If it's a 4.10, you're already on borrowed time. On stock gears where the pinion is larger, I can see the 10 bolt possibly making a full pass if you nurse it out of the hole.

I ran a 10 bolt with good axles in 1973 Fbody, not sure if that is the same axle. It has 8.5 inch ring gear in those cars. I ran 360ci gen 1 with single stage nitrous and 3 speed auto. It would 60 between 1.20-1.25 and ran 8.2X@ 165-167 at 3200#. That axle is pretty strong if you weld the tubes into the center section and add a spool.

it cuts consistent 1.5's then hauls the bacon after the 60ft
that's not bad at all, especially if he's spraying out of the hole
LS9's
Thats rolling out, mine went 10.07 @ 135 last year before i had a good fuel system. It kept going lean at the end of the pass so i had to let off about 60-80 ft before the traps.
haha my 10 bolt is on crack. I have a vid on youtube of racing a terminator from a 30 and blowing the tires off at around 70 and having to let off. search JRStephens21 on youtube and you'll see some 10 bolt abuse
LOL this thing was making 620whp for about 8 months until i cracked the block this spring, 6spd + 10bolt = fail
tiger blood and unicorn ****.
It's a 3.73 gear, i'm going to do my best to ease it out of the hole and roll out after the 60ft
no idea if they are the same axel, but anything over 150mph with a 6spd is moving.
