I've been happy with my 5.3 so far, it's made enough power for me with just a small cam, tune, and headers. But now I'm starting to want more.

I thought about a turbo but I'm really looking for instant power. I'd like to be able to feel the power as soon as I stomp on it.

From what I understand a supercharger would be best for what I want.
What options are there?
Would a procharger give me what I'm looking for?
What would I need to do to my engine?

A procharger wouldn't do it instantly due to the fact the charger makes boost by rpm. more rpm=more boost. A magnacharger would give you the bottom end grunt you are looking for. A proper sized turbo would also give you what you are looking for. Just have to do a little research and ask a couple of questions and you'll find the info you are looking for.
