To anyone thinking of putting a lsx, single t6 turbo in a second gen f body
This is a 3 year project starting to come to an end, all the fabrication was done by myself, any questions, feel free to ask.

Engine: LM7 5.3 gen 3 V8
Heads: stock 241 off LS1
Valve train: Z06 camshaft, rollmaster double roller timing chain, trickflow chromemoly 7.450 pushrods, Z06 yellow valve springs
Intake/ fuel system: GM performance single plain alum. Intake manifold (cathedral port) 850 Holley carb.,boost referenced power valves, annular boosters, procharger bonnet with spacer, Aeromotive A1000 eliminator fuel pump, fuel pump controller and A2000 carb. fuel regulator boost referenced . fuel hose-12an (3/4) to pump. -10an (5/8) feed and return.
Ignition: MSD 6010 gen 3 controller with gm 2 bar map sensor, high output truck coils.
Power adders: Garrett TV7512 76 mm .96 A/R turbo NOS nitrous powershot system, coolingmist meth. Injection system ,flowmaster exhaust kit.
Turbo accessories:
Hot side: HKS 60mm GT2 wastegate, homebuilt headers, ¾ into 3 log style, merge into 2.5” X 2 merge into 4” to turbo, 4” downpipe (all pipes stainless steel, mandrel bent)
Cold side: Tial BOV, 5” inlet pipe, 3” outlet pipe (mandrel bent alum.) air/air intercooler
Other parts: Ls2 water pump with 160 deg. Thermostat, GM MLS head gaskets, pro comp head studs, LS6 oil pump
Transmission: Homebuilt TH400, TCI streetfighter 3000 rpm stall converter, TCI master rebuild kit, TCI Transbrake, TCI deep alum. Pan, gear vendor p type overdrive
Driveline 3” driveshaft, Moser trans. and diff yokes. 1350 spicer u joints, stock GM 8.5 rear diff., Ten axles, 3.42 gears , arp studs, ratech solid pinion preload sleeve, TA performance diff cover.

Looks good. My turbo is going to mounted in the same spot. I just need to bolt it up then Make the cold side. What did you do for the oil pan? Where is the oil drain run to, pan or timing cover?

Is that a truck pan? Is so, beware as they are way too low unless you elevated the engine. I tagged my old truck pan driving over my centerpost hoist. Good thing it wasnt on the road or i would have likely ran the engine dry of oil. Then you know what happens after that. LOL. BOOM.

Yeah stock pan, 4 inches of ground clearance i might just cut some of the sump off cheaper to cut an oil pan than buying another that would have to be cut, here are pics some more pics.

Nothing clears the upper control arms, thats why turbo systems for 3rd and 4th gen f bodys can use truck manifolds cause they use struts and there is plenty of room. The log style header wasnt too hard to make, flanges bought off ebay, a 1 3/4" jegs header kit used 3" stainless exhaust tips and a 2.5" v band clamps, I have no power steering or a/c but never had that in the first place lol.

The alternators bolted to the head with a spacer and a bracket,, 1540mm ? i think belt, only part of the accessory was the belt tensioner , lq9 water pump and balancer..

I was going to go efi but it also has its problems. Have a wideband o2 ,a crutch system, once you get to know a Holley carb it's pretty straight forward and can be tuned as good as efi and the msd controller is pretty easy to control the timing. Only down side to carb is adjusting boost turn up pressure means upsizing the jets on the other hand with efi increasing boost means reprogramming the computer.

Also have msd knock box in the car hooked up to the knock sensors in the valley to make sure the engine don't knock when I'm running 87 and if the timings set up right for street usage.

I used manifolds. What i did was turn them upside down and pointed up till i welded on the v-bands. It does clear the uppers then. I also mounted my coils under the manifolds this way to clean up under the hood a bit. Good luck with your build. Looking forward to more progress. I have to get to mine also. Tuning has to start soon. Winter is hopefully gonna be done soon after this stupid storm. LOL.

Its been a while since i have posted pics. I found some so will try to post them in a bit. I may have to take a few more of the coil relocation as i didnt find any clear pics with the relocation in it.
Storm here is ****. I have plowed my driveway twice in 2 hours. LOTS of snow. Roads are horrible. I will prolly have to plow a couple more times before night fall. 30cm of snow MY ***.
