F1a vs. F1c....Procharger guys help me!
Well I'm going to be sending in my F1a to Procharger very soon here and I'm thinking about just paying the $500 for the F1c upgrade while its there. I know the only change is the volute, my questions are:
1) Is it worth it?
2) If answer to #1 is yes, will it still be worth it if I am running an 8 rib belt setup? I have heard to not go past the F1a unless I can do to 10 rib or cog. Keep in mind I'm doing this with a Corvette so we have much better bracket options than the F-bod guys out there do (no offense)

On a 347 the F-1A should give you all the boost four bolt heads can handle, unless you're running at higher elevation. You should be able to see 20 psi with an F-1A on a 347 at 0-1500 ft elevation, and it doesn't take as much hp to turn it as an F-1C will. Bob

i just figured if your going through the trouble of getting a 10 or 12 rib or cog setup and are going to have another 500 to throw at a blower, then why not go ahead and step up to the X. thats definitely a mod. supposedly its easier to turn than the F1-R you were considering. buy a big pulley and keep the boost down, i didnt realize you were on a 347. i highly doubt youll outgrow the A

You're welcome. We were overspinning mine when we were driving through the converter, but I don't recommend it. Bob

In terms of efficiency is the F1A more efficient than the F1C? I know its setup dependent but want to grab one of them at some point on a built 376 M6 with either Mast small bore LS3 heads or the new trick flow 255 heads. More power its makes the better plus less heat.
