Default Which turbine for max effort 4.8

going to be building a another motor for a car we have here. T6 s475 will be the turbo i am going with and will run 25+PSI on pump and a bunch of meth. goal is to get in the 5's 1/8 and make 800+ thru th400 in a 3400lb car.

for a max effort down the track deal, should i go with the big 96mm turbine or stick with the 83mm? it will have a custom PTC converter,T- brake and a 2 step but with all that said im sure it will still take some work to get the 96mm turbine to spool up and probably wont be worth anything in terms of power or ET since a 290CI motor wont have much back pressure issues... thoughts?

The 96mm turbine will make more power and should get lit up easy with a good converter.

The 92mm I have on my 480 lights off quick on my 5.3 motor. I can not imagine the 96 being that much worse. I am just on foot brake too.

Hmmm interesting, maybe the 96 with the 1.10AR that jose offers. By what I gather the AR doesnt effect backpressure much it would just shift my powerband lower. Im not gonna shift the car very high since the cam is relatively small woth about -2* of overlap

Does effect back pressure a little but not to big a deal from what we have been finding.

Always big turbine for max effort. Back pressure is mostly determined by the radius of the turbine inducer because that's what generates the torque to spool the turbo, so less back pressure will be necessary to generate XX pounds of boost. The 96mm in a 1.10AR T6 would be great.

Cool maybe ill just run the 75/96 that I have sitting here, I will need to send the turbo back for the 1.10 housing.

Niw I just need to figure out what all I need to do to put these newer gen motors in my f body!

I know I need the lingenfelter reluctor box, new lifters, 3x cam gear... do I need a new valley cover or timing cover? Or any other harnesses?
