Ground the TCS ignition retard wire on the PCM, Pin RED 53. Under TQ management in HPTuners I believe is your timing table that is a single row vs RPM. Some operating systems support this, some do not. I use it for nitrous, and traction depending on the vehicle and my needs.

here is how i wired it.
Attachment 726526
youll have to also disable whatever trans codes it throws, or else it will always limp mode the trans, and then you will be stuck in 2nd no matter what.
let me know if it works for you guys

if you put the transmission in 1st.... you enable solenoid A...
if you add in Solenoid B via a switch.....you are actually enabling 4th gear...not 3rd
so are you switching solenoids? or are you just adding the other solenoid?
oh...and the reason it "limps" into 2nd...is because it disables the voltage to both solenoids when there is a fault...which puts it in 2nd by the nature of how they work.
1st = Sol A
2nd = No Solenoids
3rd = Sol B
4th = Sol A+B

its a physical change for reverse, not a solenoid change
which is why you have to have a physical trans brake installed and you cant do it with a voltage change to a solenoid internal to the transmissions normal operation
its a physical valve that sends fluids to both the forward and reverse gears at the same time....locking them both on resisting each other....
when you let off the trans brake, it closes the valve passage and disengages the reverse portion
reverse uses Solenoid A
Neutral uses Solenoid A+B
Park uses Solenoid A

I did this a couple days ago. No codes needed to be disabled, I already have a relay on the Solenoid B output since I am using at 4L60e tune. I simply grounded the solenoid after the relay and all is well.

I also had the same problem Denmah was having, could only get 2000-2100 before pushing through brakes or spinning back tires and could on get 1.95 - 2.0 60ft. Put shifter in 2nd and could get 3500 and leave with some boost and got it down to 1.65 60ft and think I could have gotten it better but ran out of time. Only thing is your leaving in 2nd gear, how bad is it on the trans to leave in 2nd like that?

could you wire it the way you have it and instead of using just a switch to go from 3rd to first could u just make a arming switch for it then put like a wot switch under the brake pedal to activate that way when ur staging u don't have to time letting off a button or flipping a switch just let off brake and boom drops back to 1st
