i can only foot brake my circle d 2b converter to 3100-3200 in first, and like you not much on the concrete haha. i have a msd 2 step i set at 3100 but stilll didnt achieve the boost i wanted on launch. of course the car only had a 6 lb spring in the gate at the time, i put a precision 18psi spring in now so i cant say if its better as track is closed... certainly spools faster driving. youd think a 408 would spool a t88 on the line a lot faster but it doesnt. then again it only had the 6 psi spring in the gate and a air pressure regulator on top to increase boost.
i tried manually putting it in second gear and can foot brake it up 3800ish as well. just figured i can pulll it down into first when launching... dont know if this is bad for the trans or not. how fast does it come back down into first with the button?

Ground the TCS ignition retard wire on the PCM, Pin RED 53. Under TQ management in HPTuners I believe is your timing table that is a single row vs RPM. Some operating systems support this, some do not. I use it for nitrous, and traction depending on the vehicle and my needs.

Question maybe someone has done this.
Since the tranny is electronic controlled.
Why can't you put the shifter into drive, 3rd or manual low.
Open a different gear at the same time,
To lock the tranny. Just like a trans brake.
Old school would be low and rev.
So if I was in neutral push the button I would back up.
Put into low push bottom forward and rev jam.
I haven't look deep into the 4L80 fluid path or valve config.
But jamming a tranny to lock is the strongest holding you will ever get.
Is that possible?? Poor mans trans-brake.

GM thought of that already....it doesn't work that easily.

you could probably rig it, or just let it eat in third lol
once i test it out tomorrow i can show you guys how to do it, and what wire and how i wired it to a 5 wire relay,
there are also codes you have to disable in the stock PCM so the trans does not go into limp mode

I guess I'm confused on how this works still. You have a switch, that locks 3rd gear. When brake boosting, you hit this switch to hold 3rd gear. Which allows you to build boost. Then release the switch to downshift to 1st and launch?
I have tried this with manually shifting to second to build boost. Couldn't ever bring myself to downshift and launch that way. A full boost downshift kind of scares me though, lol. Think this will be rough on the transmission?

If it goes back into first pretty quick you should wire it with the brake and a on/off swith. Flip the switch when ready to brake boost and let the brake arm the relay. Let off the brake and hold on!

You could wire it with a latching relay circuit,
So the brake switch could be one input and a momentary
Button would be the other. With brake pressed and then push momentary
Button and release it. Would latch the relay and send signal to 3rd. When brake is released it would unlatch relay and brake can be pressed without sending 3rd gear signal. Would have to do the cycle again to make it latch.

The issue i had with the iat is the fact the the ecu took too long to see the iat change and resulted in a bog when you let off the foot break cause there was no timing and the ecu took ~2 seconds to see the iat change.
