I might not even build this motor. I could just keep a few truck blocks in the garage just in case.

Yea we ran a 8.22@164.65mph @3400 lbs clipping the rev limiter so mph didn't come up much. 1/8 mph was up almost 2mph. Car was 100 lbs heavier than on the 8.39/163.73 run. Have to get on my other computer to post slip.

I was watching the stream. You had a hell of a 60' on a previous pass. If you had hooked like that on your 8.22 pass it was going 8.teens.

It would be crazy to see how that thing would do with a little weight reduction. @3400 lbs, it needs a diet. My Nova didn't weigh a whole lot more than that with an all-iron big block.

It definitely had more left in it but they kept jacking me around in staging lanes until the very end. We were still in full drag week trim on that pass with hitch still on car, almost full tank of fuel, jackets, pillows, clothes, tools, etc still in car from our trip lol. I had planned on making a 8.5x pass to secure the win then unload car, bump limiter, and adjust caltrac bars but just ran out of time after the oil down.

Correction on Trap

Forcefed86 ET time in there at 8.93@ 153. Best I trapped was 159.24

That was on the 5.3 not the "new" 4.8.

4.8L - stock pistons/rods/heads
ARP head studs/ls9 head gaskets
Comp dual 675 valve springs
Comp PR's
Speed Inc. Tu1 Cam
TBSS instake manifold

BW 475/Race Cover/ Billet 11 blade wheel
Wet 35 shot on last pull.

4l80e:
Made 877HP/822TQ all boost 22psi
Made 919HP/880TQ at 23-24 & 35 wet shot.

Anyone think a stock block can go 7's in the 1/4?

I'm honestly surprised nobody has been 7's yet at 170+ mph. My 8.6's at 167.9 years ago was with some shitty passes on a bad track and without a nice efi / boost controller.
