Default 8-Rib or 10-Rib for F1R

Switching to forced induction. Im currently collecting parts and Im trying to figure out if I will be ok with an 8-rib setup or if I need to go with a 10-rib setup.

I would really like to make above 900hp if that makes any difference.

Definitely go 10 rib with an F1R if at all possible... I've had pretty decent luck with a 10 rib.... I've seen lots of people with issues with an 8 rib on an F1R.... Having the blower on its own belt will help tons also... Get the best blower bracket you can get.

We have a 8.65 DIA 8Rib crank pulley available. This allows you to run a larger blower pulley for more belt contact.
I shipped a batch off to the be anodized Friday. We should have them ready to ship the week of the 26th.

IF you're going with the Vette bracket setup, use A&A Corvette's bracket, 10 rib, IW 10 rib OD (8") balancer and a 4.25" or 4.00" blower pulley (AT THE SMALLEST...that's already over speed for an F1R). I run the 4.25" pulley. I see about 22 psi through the air filter and 4" short inlet pipe... A velocity stack instead of the pipe/filter picks up another 1-2 psi.

You should make 900+ with this setup.

Just try to keep the blower inlet as clear as possible.. F1Rs don't like ANYTHING in front of them...

Because I only have the alternator and waterpump to spin could I possibly get away with the 8 rib setup or 10 rib regardless?

I appreciate everyones input Im a newbie to this.

IMO get a ati balancer w a 10rib pulley attachment pulley. Or
U can use same ati crank pulley and use a LSA camaro/ctsv attachment pulley from jre or lingenfelter. Although they are 8 rib blower pullies.
Another option is using a jegs sc crank pulley. Has the blower/acc /ac drives built in and comes in overdrive ratios for the blower drive section. Pretty cheap too. About 400 or less. They look like the stock zl1 ctsv gm crank pulleys but in all the offsets. Fbod/vette/truck.
Etc. Jegs is 8rib pulley iirc
