Default Help choosing cam for LS9

Hi guys, I want to upgrade the cam in my ZR1 and need some help. First of all I dont want one that makes my car loose all drivability. I drive my car mostly in the city on the weekends and roll race a lot. I dont go to the track very often. Want to get about 50whp from the cam itself.

This are the spec of the OEM LS9 cam:

LS9
211/230 @.050 .558/.552 122.5 CL

Here are some options:

GT9
215/247 @.050 .629/.656 121 CL
I have seen gains of only 25-30hp with this cam.

Comp Cams 444
224/230 @.050 .581/.588 112 CL

Comp Cams 477 Blower Cam
227/243 @.050 .614/.624 109 CL

I am open to suggestions.

Thanks

Default ZR1 cam

I just bought a stock off the shelf ZR1 211/230 .550 121 cam for a build i was going to do, good cam especially in a smaller 6.0 LS2.

to get 50 RWHP out of a cam without it chopping etc is going to be tough IMOP, but if it was me i would stick to my old formula of going "only" 10-15 degrees more over the stock cam. meaning if the stock cam is a 211/230 i would go 220/240 the smallest and 225/245 the biggest, i would stay around .600 lift for the street, so u dont beat the hell out of the springs etc.

I would also stay above 115cl , to keep the boost in the cyclinders and for a smoother idel, the little cam i have in my LS6 (346 forged built) camaro is only a 215/231 on a 117 + 2 with .580-.610 lift, its a small blower cam from Geoff but works big in a smaller 5.7LS1 with boost, she runs smooth as a BMW but puts down 740 rwhp.

To me the Lingenfelter 215/247 cam is a little off, i would go with a little more intake duration for the bigger 6.2 LS9 and i little less valve lift so you dont beat the hell out of the valve train etc,

225/245 with .600 lift would be my choice and i would defently install a nice set of ARH 1 and 7/8th headers, with tunning i would say you would be at 60-70 more HP and with a pully swap over a 100, Pretty straight foward for getting more power out of a ZR1, love that car!
