Default turbo tuning

I have a 2001 Silverado 4.3 vortec that I installed a rear mount turbo on that is running 7psi. I have tuned it with wideband so it's getting around 11.5 afr at WOT. The setup works nice if I step on it while rolling but is really slow out of the hole. Could there be something with my tune that is causing it to take off slower than stock out of the hole with the turbo?

What's your ignition timing? I don't pull any timing until 4-5psi

Gears, converter, turbo size, exhaust leaks, timing, acceleration enrichment, BOV, waste gate are just a few things that could be causing an issue. Give us more details so we can try to narrow it down. When does it start to make boost?

Thanks to all who replied. I'm on vacation now so ill post a log when i get back to my pc. I like what you are saying about the timing. Hopefully you'll be able to see if that is my problem from the log.

You should be running a lot more timing at lower boost than higher boost levels as turboventura said
