Stick with the LS6 unless you go sheet metal. Fast intakes are a waste for boost applications.

You can try the Typhoon or the BBK if you don't mind the weight of an aluminum intake. They both outflow and outperform the LS6, although I am not sure if they are really worth much. I have a Typhoon and I am actually going to throw an LS1 back on there.

Yeah I'll just be sticking with the LS6 for now.

The LS6 intake manifold has proven itself to get these cars into the 8's with an F-1A. A problem I have been seeing is some of the original LS6 intakes are starting to crack under boost. Much like the radiator plastic side tanks are starting to show fractures in them, the composite plastic intakes don't last forever either. Bob

Man, you have to understand that this is a tough question. Everyone will have a different answer. Since no one has took all of the intakes, and did back to back testing with them all, there is no definitive answer. Its all hearsay. In my opinion, an LS6 Intake can't be beat until a certain point. After that, its a toss up between if you want to cut the cowl, and if so how much. Etcetera etcetera.

With a 408CID, and an F1-A, you'll be maxing the blower about 850-900whp, so choose something that will help max it out.

Thank you Bob! I have decided to stay with the LS6 since I already have it. It is also brand new so hopefully I will have a lesser chance of it cracking anytime soon.

I fully understand. I was just seeing what people would say. I have chosen to stay with the LS6 for now and I'm sure I'll be happy with it. If I need more, I may just bite the bullet and cut the cowl. I appreciate the reply.

You're welcome. Being new, it should be good to go for a very long time. Bob
