Default need a new tune if using a 2 step?

As the title states.. I have a MAF tune right now on my boosted M6 gto. If I added a MSD 2 step would I have to have my tune changed?

Thanks

I'll say yes.
I fiddled with timing and fuel to get the boost up.
I found that when I wanted to try more rpm on the step I had to fiddle more.
I'm still fiddling!

But it makes just shy of 5 psi now at 2800 rpm.

Auto trans also

It should still make boost without a tune but if you change the timing while on the 2 step it will build more and quicker. I want to say you pull timing with a manual and add it with an auto.

Not required but it can help if just adding the 2 step doesnt achieve results.

I used the msd 2 step on my 04 gto m6 with a large frame 76mm rear mount. No additional tuning just installed it and pressed go. It would make 10psi almost instantly at 4k rpm, also sounded like a full auto 12g going off behind my car while it blew some nice fire *****.

Switched to a front mount 7875 t netics with the rest of the car being the same and had the same results.

Now with the th400 I can only foot brake till about 3k rpm so I set the rpm on the 2 step to 3k and it will build 5 psi rather quickly. This is all without any additional tuning.

I looked at my timing when on the 2 step just out of curiosity and it was in the mid 20s. I'm sure if I retarded it a bunch in that area I mighy get 10psi or even more at the same rpm. Maybe one day next season I will play around with it and see if I get some results.

Mid 20's is where I'm at too at similar rpm. More fiddling next year. 10psi would be sweet!
