Default Dart LSN (388ci) + YSI w/billet wheel + E85 = 1141HP

Well after pushing my stock longblock LS2 w/Novi 2000 to 10.66@127 (4670lb. Trailblazer SS/Brick) I decided to up the ante.

New heart to install over the winter:

Dart Iron LS Next block 4.125 bore
Callies Magnum 3.622 stroke w/billet wheel
Callies Ultra I-Beams
Wiseco custom pistons -6.9cc dish/upgraded pins/armor coated - 10.0:1 comp
AFR 230 heads - 1630's (70cc) w/BTR upgraded OEM
Johnson SLR lifters
ECS Big blower cam
Holley Hi-Rise intake w/LS7 TB
ECS Gen V Camaro bracket kit
YSI (billet wheel) with 2.95”/8" pulley combo
FLT Level 5 – 80
Circle D triple converter (34-3600)
2” ARH headers
A2A front low mount intercooler
E85 - Walbro 450 intank w/sumped Magnafuel 4303 on Hobbs
ID1300's

Which we just finished the break-in/baseline engine dynoing.

I have no doubt that there is 1200+ in this combo as we just couldn't get enough voltage to the Magnafuel to make it happy enough to keep pressure up at the regulator (as you can see on the dyno sheet with a 55psi base pressure it wasn't climbing 1:1). Since the engine did not have an alternator we initially had to stop at 1050hp as pressure was dropping quick but we were only suppling 12v to the pump. So we then figured a way to get 13.8v to the pump and that alone went to 1113hp. At that point we went into the timing table and added 1* of timing which netted the 1141hp@6800. Previous pulls were to 7000rpm and it was still climbing.

I wish I had before and after results on the YSI too with a cast vs. billet as I don't know if it picked up power anywhere or not. But the deed is done and it's in now.

What kind of IDC did you see on that pull and bsfc?

Thanks

IDC was somewhere around 70% on this last pull after we bumped up the voltage to the pump. Honestly not sure on BSFC other than it was consuming right around 800lbs./min of fuel, maybe a little more.

Amazing looking and performing motor.

What brand coil brackets are those? Pretty slick setup

OK thanks I figured the dyno had a meter on it for logging

I have the same injectors and pump, good stuff

I can tell you that I'll be looking into a DC Power alternator which hopefully will keep voltage up at 14v+ which should keep this pump happy. The guy at Magnafuel said this pump has been to 1300hp on E85 so I know I just have to keep it happy.

Thanks! The brackets/valve covers are package deal that the engine builder has developed.
