Timing cover drain issue?
Just wondering if Ill be having drain issues with it in this location. I didn't even realize it was so close to the oil pump bolts until I bolted it on (measured about 1/4" from the bolt head to back of the cover with a shallow head bolt. I could grind it down a tad also).
My plan was to thread the fitting in with sealer then grind the backside flush.
Last setup I went into the pan but wanted to avoid drilling a brand new pan.

I put mine right below those two circles, I was going to put it right where you drilled as well but thought before hand I better check and see whats behind that.
Kinda too late since you already drilled.
I used a 45* fitting also and pointed it at 9ish o'clock just slightly angled upward.
Works perfect

Well I had the stock ones in place but they stick out further. For what it is I could trim it down or a button head like said. I may have to try that tonight. I was going to plug it and shift drill a new one. I didn't even think of a button head! Thanks. Good thing I work at a tool and mold shop. Plenty of different bolts to try lol
