The harness that goes through the drivers side is a nightmare. You can leave the lighting harness after you separate it out. The rest is a mess that only gets worse the deeper you dig. You would think that you would be able to trace it out and disconnect it but it doesn't work that way. They have stuff spliced together in weird ways and tied to the cluster and different parts of the AC controls. If I did it again I would disconnect or cutoff that harness at the firewall and call it a day. Otherwise you end up having to go through the entire interior of the cars.
Also If I did it again I would pull three wires from under the dash: hot always, hot in run, and hot during start. I'd pull those to where the rear seat is/was and mount my ECU, and additional fusses and relays and keep it all in one spot. Then everything under the dash stays unmolested and is easy to trace later on. Mine was a 1992 and I think the earlier years would be a little easier but your mileage may vary.
Lastly, I did find diagrams online at veryuseful .com. They were semi accurate and at least got me going. There are others posted online in other places as well if you search for them. None of them are really great but they will get you buy if you are willing to spend hours learning to read them. Probably best to buy a complete motors manual or similar that has all the diagrams of your dead set on stripping out everything that's not needed.

Well, life has been great! I got married in October and so I put the build on hold for a while so we could enjoy each other and do a little remodeling. Now that the remodeling is about done, I've started working on the car again. I upgraded to a VS Racing Billet 7875 turbo, and have been working on the tune some. The tune had been giving me some issues going lean when the iats would get hot from idling or a hot start. I think I about got that fixed with better equipment, iat placement, and tuning. I started a thread about it on HP Tuners, and so far what I came up with seems to be working well. Heres the link:
After the turbo upgrade I did some tuning and then strapped it on a mobile dyno for a local event and did 609RWHP on 10PSI and 14 degrees of timing. I would have pushed it harder but it was going to about .85 lambda at 100% duty cycle under boost. I think its a problem with the fuel pump setup so I'm upgrading to a Magnafuel.
First, comparisons of On3 7665 to the VS Racing Billet 7875:
Overall the VS Racing was a little more compact, but very similar in most dimensions. It set a little lower off the flange, which in my application gave me a little bit of a problem, but not much.
New Turbo makes great power with a tune. After I get the new fuel pump in I want to turn it up, but I'm not sure I will. Its on the Gen3 rods and pistons after all. I think there is a LOT left in this turbo! I will be posting videos in the next few days.

Tune-up can usually take NA timing till 3-5lbs or so. That’s a good way to get it lit quick. Just add timing slowly and watch plugs. I run 24* up to 5psi or so, then drop timing in a big chunk. Could probably run more but the S480 spools faster than my tires can handle this way.
