Default *sigh* Not again....

So I took the turbo TA out last night for a little fun against a buddies built 5-liter Mustang. All was looking good after 3 or 4 runs, and we decided to wrap it up with one last pull. Lined them up and gave them a good romping, let off the accelerator and I happened to glance down at the oil pressure gauge which went way low! After a second or two of jumping between 0-30psi, it finally buried itself in the zero end

After letting the car sit maybe 10 minutes in the side of the highway, checked it over for leaks, none found. Checked the dip stick and there is plenty of oil in there as well. Return and feed lines are good, nothing is wet. Fire it back up and I'm not registering any pressure on the stock gauge or my mechanical gauge at idle, however if I bring the rpm up to say 1200-ish, it'll give me about 15psi or just between the red mark and the first hash on the OE gauge. Bottom line, I was able to keep it at that mark while I limped it home. Never knocked, ticked or made any only particularly unusual sounds, but hey it got me home! Looks like I'm going to check the oil pump as a likely source of the problem, but of course I'm open to suggestions!

Well, gonna give it the college try first. Swap the oil filter, pull the oil pump, and yea at that point gonna have to pull the motor out if all else fails..

Throw a mechanical gauge on the engine to verify there's no oil pressure.

It seems there's a lot of people who have oil pressure issues with these motors, operator error or what??
