Fan's in front of radiator??
Has anyone mounted their fans in front of their radiator for clearance of the serpentine belt/ accessories.
Im running a 2 side inlet 1 top outlet intercooler and i don't have enough hood clearance for the IC pipe to come over top on the rad and into the throttle body like most traditional set ups. So I'm thinking of mounting the IC where most radiators are mounted and mount the rad in front of that with the fans in front of that.
Has anyone ever done this?
Did it cool alright?
Did it heat soak more than traditional IC with traditional radiator and fan set ups?
Did your intake air temps climb up?
Im not much of an artist but a quick sketch to describe what I'm saying a little better.

Absolutely nothing wrong with pusher fans although they are slightly less efficient than pullers.
But blowing hot air from the engine radiator over the intercooler will never be a good idea.

I say if you're saying cool in those temps, you're quite alright.

On previous builds I've used 87-93 Ford Taurus 2 speed fans and they work absolutely amazing. Low speed they pull about 3300cfm and on the high side 4800cfm.

Im running a Northern dual pass radiator & a single 16" Skip White ebay fan. Fan is wired for pushing to the stock connector. It's set at 179 on & off at 172. Can let it sit & idle all day long & wont get above 180. I also made sure the exhaust side of my turbo had decent space from the radiator, I guess that helps too.
