Default Turbo questions..

some one is selling a certain turbo kit. cough(phamspeed)cough.. and I have been searching trying to find something out about it, and I still have a few questions. It is the budget kit.. So it does not come with the manifolds. Can I use long tube headers? How does all that work? What else will I need with this budget kit? It says it comes with everything you need to install, but I'm confused. Where would I get IC piping from? And I have also read about altenator relocation.. PLEASE help.. I was going h/c route, but it's a good price and turbo has sparked my interest.

Thanks,
Justin

No you won't be using LT headers, I'm pretty sure the phamspeed kit bolts up to the stock manifold and joins them together and goes to the turbo.

Any local machine shop can fabricate IC piping.

their kit now comes with everything, and it went up in price. you use the factory manifolds, the tubes run under the k-member, you need to buy pusher fans, and thats it. search google for contact information, as they are no longer a sponsor. their site should also be updated with their new kit info aswell.

well.. I would reall hate to go back to stock manifolds.. they suck. Can I use anything else?? Will I have to cut anything to make it fit?? Here is what the kit comes with..
Here's the complete list of what it all comes with

PT70 P-trim
Tial 44mm wastegate
2.5" crossover pipes connected with v-band clamp
3" downpipe
All nuts/bolts
Gaskets
Oil feed line and fittings
Oil dump line and fittings
Oil dump flange
Charge pipe
Silicone hoses to complete charge pipe to tb
Also have dual fans, BOV, and Fmic(no piping)

Will I need anything else?? Does it look straight?

Thanks,
Justin

look for some shorty headers i.e. jbas they will work and flow better than stockers, you will need to fab the piping from the turbo to intercooler to throttle body. which you can do or have someone else do.

when did this happen? either way, its a good thing. is GZM the same 'company' as phamspeed now? or just a company that phamspeed works with?

GMZ is a company that apparently hired John Pham to help them break into the domestic market. They are sponsors and really nice guys from what I've seen of them.
