Default Belt tension on a D1SC

How tight should the 8 rib belt be? How do i know if the belt is tight enough?

you shouldn't be able to twist it. It should be very taught.

Does anyone know how far you can push it up and down?

It should barely move up and down. If you see black belt dust on the blower housing, you need to tighten the belt up. New belts always need to be retightened after the first half an hour of use. Bob
