I'd guess around 1000-1100 fwhp...? Usually the bolt gives way before the rod...I'm running eagle 4340 H-beams with L19 bolts and no problems thus far...we'll see how she does at the track though. RPM is probably just as important a factor as flat out power too...

on 4cyl's the eagle 4340 H-beams with 3/8" arp 2000 bolts I have seen them do 700whp and 8500 rpm and there rated for 1000flywheel hp I would think you could do close to double that with them.

IMO, the bolt stretch is more a concern of rpm and weight of the piston/rod/pin....on the power stroke, the rod is being pushed down(little bolt stress)...some side loading due to rod angle though....

I would say that with ARP rod bolts you would be good to around 950-1000 @ the flywheel

On a customers SBF we have made 1500+ crank. Also Rick's LT1 is/was running Eagle's and he is making 1500+ crank as well.

Buddies race car went 173 this weekend at 3300 pounds on eagle rods, eagle crank. Standard off the shelf rods with the ARP2000 bolts. That's ~1600 flywheel.

You can get Eagle rods with the L19 bolts, which have a higher rating than the ARP2000 or standard ARP bolt. It'll cost about $100 more that way, but it's worth it (IMO).

I have Eagle rods and ARP L19 rod bolts. I hope to make over 1000rwhp dynojet with them.
