Default Optimum Turbo Street 6 speed Setup?

I am just curious what you guys would consider the best street turbo motor setup for a 6 speed? Say your horsepower goals are 800rwhp MAX on pump gas. Which motor would you choose? 346 LS1, 364 LS2, 370 LQ9, 402 LS2, or 408 LQ9. Say this motor was going in a C5. Also try to guess how much boost you would need for each to reach 800rwhp MAX on pump gas. Assume optimum heads and cam.

346ci LS1=xxpsi=800rwhp on pump gas

364ci LS2=xxpsi=800rwhp on pump gas

370ci LQ9=xxpsi=800rwhp on pump gas

402ci LS2=xxpsi=800rwhp on pump gas

408ci LQ9=xxpsi=800rwhp on pump gas

Which would you consider would give you the most enjoyment.

The bigger the motor, the bigger the turbo needed. With a 408, youd need a 88mm to feed the air requirements and thats a BIG turbo to fit in a Vette. Id stay with a 346 LS1. Its proven to hit that mark many times with a T76 with meth. PSI, isnt important. Its CFM. A lot of thing will determine the PSi needed, such as intercooler, pipe size, routing, restrictions, etc..

I like option 2, the ls2 364. I know the stock LS2 is strong engine powerwise, and I think a turbo version would be a great setup. Basically same benefits of a 346 with a little extra power.

FWIW, I want that combo for my car in the future, with a good set of heads (maybe AFR) and a well matched cam I think it would make awesome power.

You have to have ls2 cam sensor, harness extension, and move the knock sensors from what I remember.

Bigger is better for a street turbo motor IMHO. More cubes mean quicker spool and better off-boost drivability. I'm very close to starting a 444 inch build now that blew my 414 incher. If 414 is better than 360, then 444 has to be better than 414.

How did the 414 go? and a 444? what block and what stroke is that I have a 422 using a slp block and it needed a little prep work Not bashing slp it was a 402 had a golden chance to up the cubes
Befor I even used the motor

A smaller bore will be less prone to detonation. This is one of the reasons the Mod Motors do so well on boost. I'd say either 346 or all stroke 383.

What I would build and why...

+408ci, 8.5:1 compression
+AFR 225's or comparable head
+Twin 66mm turbos
+LS2 90mm OEM intake

I'd go bigger turbos becaus a little lag would be a good thing, my 02 Z06 on drag radials would be a deathtrap if it made crazy midrange power. And you can't fit a big single front mounted turbo on C5's.

Well I am going with the TTiX kit. I have no clue what size turbo's it comes with, but many 408ci guys already run that setup. Some that have pushed the setup have made over 900rwhp with around 15psi on pump gas and meth. I have decided to go with the LS2 90mm OEM setup.
