122 magnacharger on an '02 LS6?
I have a stock '02 LS6 with an M6 in my '67 Camaro. I will be installing one of the new 122HH magnachargers, hopefully in the next few monthes. The motor is stock right now with the exception of a set of shorty headers (I will be installing long-tubes) and a full 2.5" dual exhaust w/ X-pipe.
How much boost and what kind of power numbers do you think I can get out of this motor without changing the cam or heads. I know there is someone on this site with an LS1 GTO running 13 psi or so with a 122HH with a stock motor. I think he was at 475 rwhp through an automatic.
My goal is 500 rwhp (at least for now). I do have a set of brand new Patriot Performance stage 2 heads with 72cc chambers that I could install in place of the stock 243 heads on the motor right now. I'm not sure which is the best route to reach my goal.
Of course, a set of better flowing heads will help, but what about the compression? Should I keep the stock LS6 compression, or go with less compression and more boost?
I'm also open to suggestions for the cam. I'm really happy with the drivability of the stock LS6 cam, and I hear it works well with a blower. If I can meet my goals with the LS6 cam, that would be great.
Any suggestions or comments are appreciated. I'll try to post a few pics of my car/motor. Thanks,
Andy

Your 02 LS6 will make 500RWHP pretty easily on about 7-8 PSI. The 122H should be able to make th at much without even trying
Since you already have the new heads with 72 cc chambers, throw them on and drop the compression a little, and you could run a few more pounds of boost. Your LS6 cam will work great with boost! I've used it a lot on cars with 5-7PSI with great results.
I can help you with a 122 hotrod kit if you need, feel free to PM me with any questions,
Thanks,
Ed

ED Does this mean you can order a 122ci for the trans am too, with your 90mm adapter too???

Thanks Ed,
I was thinking about throwing the new heads on the motor, but leaving the LS6 cam in there for now. I'll send you a pm about the kit.
