if you had a decision about 408 nitrous or 346/408 turbo what would you guys do. i just cant make up my mind because everything will be forged no matter what and i want a 800 horsepower 9 second car. easily i would pick 408 with turbo but be practical with the money. i only have less then 8000 dollars to play with.

well 8 grand isn't going to be enough if going FI, especially if you are using some of that 8 grand to build up a 346-408....

Forge a 346 and hit it with a big shot of N2O. 9's shouldn't be a problem with that.

Eight is not enough for the FI route, trust me.

Well, maybe it is: if you've got mad fab skillz, a garage full of tools, and all the time and patience in the world. And an assistant with small hands that'll work for free.

And if you're M6 with the stock rear, plan on quite a bit of $$ for your driveline.

Go with the NOS and save the money. FI will eat $8000.00 real quick.

I think you can do it with 8k but if you do all the work your self and go with a SC instead of a Turbo (Turbos are always more expensive). A good forged 346 will cost u $2800-3000, Used SC D-1SC kit $2000-3000, Fuel system $1000, Tuning $400, then lets hope you have a built drivetrain such as clutch or built auto tranny and rear end with a heavy duty DS which has to be done either way with a NOS or Turbo setup.

Good luck

I dont know what your drivetrain consist of, but if your budget is $8k I would build a nice 408 and do a shot off nitrous. If the rest of your car can handles the stress 9's should be easy.
