STS Owners - What did you do with your IAT Sensor
On my kit, STS had me mount it on the radiator shroud.
Since this is an important sensor, I would like to put it back where it belongs, in the airflow. Has anyone found a solution to this?
Thanks in advance.

You can either run a grommet in the pipe and push it in there. Or weld in a 3/8s bung and use a grand national sensor, its the same one pro charger sends with there kits.

I drilled a new hole in by TB and reused the grommet its at the 11 o clock postion fits great, get good temp readings, and doesn't proturde so far that it would disrupt air flow. Ill post a pic a little later.

Thanks. No spray, 8 psi boost. The problem is that the STS kit puts a silicone hose where the original intake elbow was. So a metal or hard place is not available. IMO, it was a stupid design.
A pic would be appreciated, 2002-ws6.
If I could find somewhere to put a threaded unit, that would be fine. I suspect that a threaded unit on a silicone hose would just pop out, but I do not know.

I put mine in a rubber elbow going to the TB first and that just kept shooting out every dyno pull. Also the rubber elbow would blow up like a baloon. I mean that sum bitch was twice its size with 7psi behind it. I've since bought a silicone elbow and had to move my IAT, heres what I decided to do
Just make sure the hole you drill isn't too big I started small and kept getting a little bigger till it would just fit. Its now in so tight I don't think 20psi would blow it out

I am at the point of needing to install an IAT on my Blazer (2 of em actually-1 for the factory PCM and one for the Megasquirt) Does anybody know what kind of threads the GN snesor has, and where to get the proper bung holes?
