Default What should I expect from this turbo?

I recently picked up a new garrett Gt4594, 1.19 a/r. I'm putting it on a 5.3 with headwork and typhoon intake.

Any suggestions for a cam? I'm using nascar titanium valves and nascar springs, so I can run crazy amount of lift if I wanted to.....

Full boost by ?? rpm?

hp # guesses?

what power will a stock 5.3 bottom end take?

what would be a good street tune(low boost) hp setting? 550ish?

would it be worth swapping to 6.0 heads? would I need new truck manifolds to fit 6.0 heads?

it's going in a 98 240sx(s14) with a built full manual 700r4 tranny.

well, i dont think nascar runs ls motors. i think he is just useing the valves out of their heads.

i am not for sure, but i think that everyone is going to tell you that that size turbo is too big for a 5.3. i am also looking at turboing a 5.3 for a strickly race car. from what i have seen on performancetrucks.net about a .81 to about a .96 a/r is what you are looking for. i seen one guy that was switching to a 1.15 a/r but hasnt finished it yet.

if anyone else has anything on this please chime in. i would also like to know more about this. i did a search and this is about all i came up with.

Big laggy unit for only a 5.3. A GT45 is a big turbine turbo.

I am definitely not the man.....but I work for the guys that are....hehe.

I would suggest one of the TC units, they are compact, spool fast, make big power in a 76mm version and on top of that they are quite nice on the wallet at around 1K with the MPS turbine wheel.
