that was pretty cool to watch...I bet the price of that thing is a rapist.
And for $6800, Ill have a forged 370 iron setup with fully done heads with enough change left over to spend someplace else!

Some 408s+ motors are $4k and others are $15k+. Believe it or not, there's a difference.

I simply stated MY OPINION of what I would do, or what can be done with $6800 (which is at LEAST a 1k capable shortblock)...I think MOST would agree that UNLESS youre shooting for REALLY big (say 1500hp+) numbers or you just have it to spend, a big billet block is'nt really necessary...Look at the boosted list as proof. I didnt mean to imply anything with my statement and if you took it the wrong way, sorry for 'ya!
Once again awesome vid, I enjoyed watching it.

It has nothing to do with taking it the wrong way. These people know what can be done already. Look at their sigs. That's like the monkey who responded in the stereo section about not having big speakers because it makes the car slower. So what, everyone's aware of that. If there's nothing to contribute, why do damn people even post?
BTW, same thing applies to turbo setups too. They vary from $4k-$20k.

you are right...why are we posting...who are we...why are we here. j/k
seriously though, I'd buy a billet block before I would do a C5R block...I just have a hard time trying to justify the price. Im sure it would be worth it, especially in a situation where putting up big numbers reliably is a must.
Trust me, Ive installed turbo systems from flipped Ford manifolds to the latest "ricer kit" and I must say, quality is key and the key aint cheap.

Really, $6800 bucks isn't bad for what you're getting. Top notch block no doubt.
