Default bearing-flange turbo questions (LT1)

What's the difference (physically and functionally) of ball bearing turbos vs. journal bearing turbos? They are seperated on forcedinduction.com's online catalog and want to know which kind to get for a 1995 TA.

Also, will T6 turbine flanges fit on LT1s using Garrett or Precision turbos?

If your going T6 kit style, the OFI kit will work. As for the difference between BB and non-BB, well the turbocharger internals are different, but primary functionality of the turbocharger is still the same. The BB will spool a touch faster...but nothing huge.

They why use journal bearing turbos? Are they generally cheaper or something?

Just read that getting a T6 into an LT1 might be a bitch. Anybody have experience putting a T6 into an LT1?
